Magic Bacon Cat says...

Don't fly in or out of O'Hare during tornado season.

This message specially prepared just for Will.

That's the thing, though. Chicago just doesn't GET tornados...

Sure, but O'Hare closes for light rain, so anything that might remotely have a shot at producing a tornado? Definitely gonna cause problems.

My brother spent three hours sitting in a plane waiting to take off at O'Hare yesterday.

O'Hare is PURE EVIL.

I have never had a flight leave there on time. Ever. That one time I was stuck there for twelve hours was my FAVORITE.

A friend of a friend ended up sleeping on a cot there last night. Ick.

When I went out to Kenn's last year for Memorial day, neither the flight in, nor the one out left on time. Of course, the plane I missed (and why the hell did the El take three times longer to get from Kenn's to O'Hare than the other way around, anyway?) left on time. It was cloudy. Or something.

Seriously, what is wrong with that airport? I don't understand it.

The idea of a "tornado season" in Chicago is ludicrous. This weather was a discontinuous function in relation to the rest of reality.

But hell, I made it home, which is more than can be said for [livejournal.com profile] gee_tar.

My favorite O'Hare story is where my flight was delayed by 7 hours, then half an hour after it finally took off, it landed back at O'Hare again because the plane caught fire.

You win.

It's rather a booby prize, but that's oddly fitting.

I yield to your superior bad-plane-trip-fu.

Yeesh.

Don't fly in or out of O'Hare during tornado season ever.

FTFY.
