So one of the things I read recently that I didn't mention when last I wrote about litrachoor was The Baroque Cycle. I need to do a reread I think before I can make any real commentary on it, but one thing that amused me greatly was that Stephenson made the captain with a hook for his hand and in his name a good guy.
