I thought Hades was the Greek god of death.

In response to both of you, I don't know, I didn't make it up. Hades was lord of the underworld, but I don't recall him actually being the god of death as such, but I haven't studied Greek mythology in almost 20 years now, and that was the surface intro we got in high school. I don't remember the Roman gods at all excepting the ones with planets named after 'em (and remembering them as Greek types with the serial numbers filed off).

He was called Thanatos, says a quick Googling. Not that I heard of him, like, ever, even though I had quite an interest in Greek mythology.
