It's too early...

I got to work at 5:15AM today. Yes, there is a reason. I had to install new hardware in the phone system. This requires me to take the whole thing down as it must be powered off when installing new line cards. So, we have 16 shiny new analogue lines, of which at least half are already allocated. STU-IIIs, additional secure fax machine, and Red phones/modem for COM gear (and if that doesn't mean anything to you, bow down in thanks to whatever god(s) you pray to). We all have these really nice expensive digital phones on our desks that are capable of forty thousand different features, but I'm buying analogue line cards because the .gov hasn't left the 80's and requires POTS lines for everything.

The worst part is that I still had to travel around the office and let someone know the phones were going down. My coworkers are insane.

It's mornings like this that I regret being allergic to coffee. I'd put up with the vile taste for the caffiene overdose possibilities.
