I have security duty this week. What this means is that I have to be here till the end of the day. After a certain point, I visually inspect all the safes and make sure they're closed and locked, verify that all classified processing areas are closed, locked, and have their alarms set, check all facsimile machines, photocopiers, and printers to insure there is no sensitive materials left on/in them, check all desks to make sure nothing sensitive was left out, and make sure all doors in and out of our suite are secure. This is bullshit work, but our customer demands it as part of maintaining our facility clearance.

What it really means is that I can't just say 'Fuck it' and skip out of work today, which is what I REALLY want to do. It's beautiful outside, and I just wanna hop in my car, drop the top, and hit the back roads in the foothills of the Appalachians.

I SO am not in the mood to work right now.
