Perhaps you shouldn't live in a kitchen?

On the way home yesterday, the external temp reading while driving through Tysons Corner was 103F. Today was supposed to be cooler and contain rain, but driving in to work this morning I was already getting readings above 80F at 6:30 AM EDT, so I'm disinclined to believe this will be the case. I doubt I'll see 103 though today. Getting into triple digits is pretty rare here (although yesterday was the fourth day in a row I've seen it reading that high during my afternoon commute), and I suspect this is the high point of the summer. It's all downhill from here. Now me, I like this weather. I miss the 80F nights that are the norm in Va. Beach during the Summer.

It did rain for a few minutes yesterday evening. With the exception of maybe an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon due to the humdity and heat creating localized pockets of instability, that was all the rain we're gonna see for a while.

So, I've been considering getting my hair cut. The question is, do I keep it long enough to pull back, or go for broke and cut it back to where it normally was before growing it out?

It's long enough that I can donate at least the ten inch minimum and still have a good two to three inches of short pony tail left. I like it long, but it's a pain in the ass to maintain, and it bunches up around my neck during TKD trapping heat in. Constantly having to remove the ends from my face is really annoying as well. Getting it cut back to the very short way that I wore it, pretty much my whole life, means I can take showers in five minutes or less again, versus the twenty it takes now, the vast majority of which is due to washing and conditioning the hair.

I don't know what I'm gonna do. Maybe I'll just do nothing for now, and let it keep growing. Using multiple hair bands spaced along my pony tail last night for class worked really well keeping it out of my face and it didn't bunch up around my neck at all. It looks silly though. Maybe I can learn to braid it for class; less hair bands and silliness that way.

On a random note, I want to know who came up with the whole idea of boiling frogs slowly so they don't notice? I mean, really, the sort of person who'd boil a frog in the first place isn't likely to CARE how the frog feels about it, now are they?
