To paraphrase Sam Jackson.

Class was tough last night. It was just four of us, all adult males, and it was a sparring class. We got worked. Hard. My legs, they hurt.

The class I taught on Saturday went well. I asked a couple people what they thought of it, and they all responded positively, saying that they definately felt like they got a good workout and felt better about their combinations.

The Saturday class is an hour, so I spent a good fifteen minutes warming them up and stretching them out, then I had them spend ten minutes working on target drills using kicks from the combos appropriate to their belt level, from there they spent thirty minutes doing their combos on the Wavemasters (while they were doing this, I went around and let people know what they were doing right and what needed work), and to finish up we did a fun drill with them doing jump back leg round kicks over a shield (if you hit it, that's five push ups, if you land on it, that's five sit ups; this is a practical drill to make sure they're tucking the leg they aren't kicking with and that they are getting enough height and distance).
