I don't know what's going on, but it's all sparring this week, and I just can't seem to get muh groove on. I've been battered around the ring in just about every match. My timing is totally off. I keep missing kicks and punches that I normally wouldn't, and my ability to block and move seems to have gone on vacation. I can't read my opponents.

Twice in as many days I've moved into an attack and consequently taken it to the ribs. Both times hit the same spot of course. Advil, candy, is there a difference? My right side ribcage? It hurts like a motherfucker, yo!

Even the kids have pretty much had their way with me in the ring, which is fine since I generally let them anyway or make the match close, but no, I've just been unable to stop even the kids scoring on me. I don't know what's going on, but it's annoying, whatever it is.

I can't be like this; I test in February, and while we're not expected to be the world's greatest fighters, we are expected to be able to hold our own. I'm not.

I don't know how much sports you have done throughout your life but just in case you do not know "slumps" unfortunatly happen to everyone. I personally think they happen to all aspects of your life but sports offers an imediate measure of success (as it's based on competition) and therefore it's easier to spot these stretches of where your just "off". It passes eventually. I wouldn't get too woried though, you haven't lost your skillz you just in slump.
