Last night I earned my third stripe on my Novice Black belt. That was it. There is no more. The fourth and final stripe is my Black belt exam. In six weeks. Excuse me while I go cower in a corner.
And my throat thing? It's viral. My ears, sinuses, and lungs: all clear. I've got some random virus that irritating the shit out of my throat, and leaving the rest of me totally in tact. My doc was rather surprised when the strep culture came back negative as well, considering that I have no other symptoms, which is really odd for viral infections. I can't complain; this is far more desirable than some virus that leaves me a wheezing, dripping mess, asleep on the couch for 16 hours at a stretch. It's still annoying as fuck, and there's nothing I can do about it except wait for my body to kill off whatever it is.
