Dr. Oilcan (to us punks) has a nice entry on NCLB, and why it's not just a failure, but a travesty. The students aren't the only ones dropping out of the system.

Oh, and lets not forget the fact that I am now involved in a Due Process for a former student that physically and emotionally drained me to the last straw (and his parents too - emotionally). To quote a rep from the county office of monitoring and compliance - teachers simply do not get paid enough to deal with the paperwork and aggression of special needs kids (never mind tryng to umm, teach them)?
