Pick your poison, shamblers or bloodsuckers, either way, you can't go wrong.

Charlie Huston's third novel in his Joe Pitt series (Half the Blood of Brooklyn) is out there, and it takes the story in a whole new direction. Good book, but it'll be interesting to see if Huston can hold the story together now that Joe's out in the hinterlands.

On the shambling front, I picked up World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide. The Survival Guide is extremely amusing. WWZ I'm still getting in to. The writing is good, but I'm not sure the style is ever going to grab me. If it tries, I've read the Survival Guide, and I'll be prepared.

The interview format of WWZ took some getting used to. By the end of the book I was thoroughly enjoying it.

For me at least, WWZ > ZSG.

I haven't read the Joe Pitt series. I'm assuming it's good, since you're on the third book.

Already Dead, No Dominion, and Half the Blood of Brooklyn.

Hit your local B&N or Borders and pick 'em up. Or Amazon if you're that kinda freak, but I like browsing the book shelves, personally.

I've been buying the majority of my books, music and movies from Amazon since Dec 1998. The last time I actively shopped in a brick and mortar book/music/movie store was last spring when I used the last of my Borders gift certificates I earned with my credit card rewards program. (I've since switched to a better rewards program card.) Walking around in a brick and mortar store is a waste of time for me if I can buy it online with just a few clicks especially with free shipping. I'd rather spend the time at home with the kiddo, or you know, reading. :)
