Because you don't have enough ranting from other sources out there on the 'net, it being full of friendly and rational people who would never stoop to harsh language, shouting, namecalling, or other poor behaviour, I do mean to go off on a rant here, coherency isn't a given...

Who the fuck upped the supidity quota for the planet? I hope you understand that when I find the accountable party, I can not be held responsible for the malicious wounding and maiming it is my intent to inflict upon said party.

When Penn & Teller call you and say they'd like to devote a segment of their show to you, if you aren't out there pissing on someone's pet looney theory, run, because chances are, you just got called on what ever bullshit you're peddling, and they ARE going to make you look as stupid and pretentious as they can manage, using only your own words to do it no less, on Showtime, and they are going to be totally unapologetic about it. They'll even smile while they're at it. If you agree to appear on their show, you don't get to whine about the fact that you just got made a fool of; you volunteered. Have a nice fucking day. I whole heartedly endorse this product/service.

Bill Maher was kind enough to point out a few weeks back that one of the doctors Bush appointed to the board that oversees the FDA, you know, the one who was recommending women pray for relief from menstrual cramps and pissing on any form of birth control he could from that position, a licensed Gynecologist, and proclaimed Christian, was in court for divorce proceedings. His wife claims he'd been anally raping her for years. His defense: He missed. This man, whose specialty is the female reproductive system, couldn't find his wife's vagina? And he's making decisions about what you ladies get to do with yours. This is just one more example of the normal day to day hypocrisy exemplified by the Right Wing Nuts who've taken control. I'm so glad we live in a free and enlightened society.

If you aren't ridiculously wealthy AND a right winger, Bush is not your friend. He does not care about you. You do not matter to him. You want to end our dependence on foreign assholes who hate and want to kill us? Quit protesting nuclear power. Want to bring manufacturing back to the US? Make the plants fully automated. The workers become well paid technical staff maintaining the machinery, instead of overpaid assembly line drones doing a job badly for 8 hours a day that a machine can do well for 24. You'll need those nuke plants to power the manufacturing facilities. The spent fuel rods are no more dangerous than raw Uranium (and if that isn't a big fucking clue just how nasty Uranium is, step away from the keyboard, you are officially too stupid to be allowed near a computer), so put the shit back in the same ground you pulled it out of. Just think, in my reality, goods are cheaply mass produced, yet have a constant level of quality, in clean robotic facilities manned with well paid technical staff overseeing the factories. While I'm ranting on China, they've made it clear that their goal is to undermine the economies of the West and their Asian neighbors. Why are we giving them Most Favored Nation status to do this to us? We're paying for the privilege of having our economy torpedoed. But hey, we've got the best Congress money can buy, so we get cheap goods from China, and they get more funding towards their goal of dominance. Great fucking plan guys.

Since I'm officially off in fantasy land now, I want legalized prostitution and drugs while I'm at it. No more drug addicted women beholden to abusive pimps spreading disease. No more street violence between rival drug gangs. No more spending billions of dollars on activities that only serve to make the profit margin fueling the violence even higher.

Of course, this requires not bowing down to the invisible fucking man who loves you, but wants you to suffer forever if you don't do exactly what he says every moment of your life.

And since we're now in the Land of the Stupid, let's remove all stupidity laws. The government's job is NOT to save you from yourself. You are free to fuck up your life however you see fit. I'm all for laws against drunk driving. Drunk drivers kill OTHER people. I am against mandatory seat belt laws and motorcycle helmet laws. People who don't wear seat belts in cars and helmets on bikes kill THEMSELVES. Note that distinction. It's fucking important. Keep it in mind when drafting future legislation.

If the standard at the bottom is raised, all standards above rise with it. To use the normal metaphor: A rising tide raises all boats. If you cut a hole in the bottom, we're all fucked, some of us will just take longer to get there due to having a larger cash reserve on hand.
