If you disagree with anything our government does, the terrorists have already won (said without the slightest bit of irony, because the kind of assholes who SAY this don't understand what irony is).
The current administration is going at the foundation of our nation, society, and way of life with a fucking jackhammer, and half the idiots in this country are applauding it.
Remember when locking people in holes in the ground, torturing them, trying them in absentia with no representation or rules of evidence, and executing them was what we were AGAINST? We always held that everyone was entitled to the same rights and privileges under the law, even the people who were our direst of enemies. We held that standard all through the Cold War and beyond. Half a decade ago, we still held to that standard.
We have met the enemy, and they are us.
