And I still don't have my damn cable adapters from Avaya. I have spoken with our rep. Supposedly they will overnight them to us once they find some to send us. I ordered two, figuring a spare isn't a bad thing. I was right on with my guess on pricing: $30/ea. Pigfuckers.
This was taken right off the restroom wall in
chelona's House of Sea Turtle Soup:
There's a company wide telecon on Monday, but I won't be here for it. I'm %99 sure I know what is going to be said. The shareholder voting was over as of 5pm Tuesday, and my guess is that the sale will be officially announced as having been approved, since our Founder/Chairman/CEO pretty much owns enough stock to make the rest of our votes pointless (not that I voted against, it's going to make what little I do own worth 2.5 times it's current value when all is said and done).
I suspect that within 90 days, I'll no longer be employed by a small business, but by a very large one.
Looks like I'll finally get approved to go places where I've been blissfully denied access up to now. Good for insuring that a job will never be an issue (and God hasn't been as thoroughly investigated as I have at this point), but it also means more work. I could have lived with my current level of thing, and I'll definately be poly'd for the new and improved level thing ("thing" to borrow a term from
blueingenue, what a great way to refer to it) Real Soon Now (TM). I've been told I'll be cleared prior to poly, but that keeping the upgraded thing will involve not failing said poly.
Shouldn't be a problem, as I'm not very exciting, odd, or critical of the government. Oh, wait...
