Same here.

If not for the pile of work on my desk, I'd be so outta here.

Sucks even more is I'll be here next Monday and Tuesday. I think the Wii in the break room will get a LOT of use next week.

People finally started trickling in around quarter till eight. It does my heart good to know that no one will notice that I'll be on mental vacation Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Did you have to unlock the doors and turn on the lights? Hm? I didn't think so.

Not that I turned on the lights. I fucking hate fluorescent lights, but I did have to unlock the place and disable the alarm.

I don't think our security arrangements allow us to leave the building entirely unstaffed, ever. Also, we have card access, so while it's possible to physically lock me out, it's never actually done.

We have keypad card readers on all the doors, but I have to unlock the doors before I can use my combo and card. The mag locks are always on, with standard back up locks in case the power fails (Arlington Co. requires that in the event of power failure, mag locks fail to open) while the office is closed. The elevators require cards to get to the floor during non-business hours, and the stairwells are also on combo'd keypads. That get's you into reception.

Being on the 10th floor of a secured building saves us from having to keep 24hour in house staff.
