I haven't posted much in a while, so I figured 'What the hell, it's Friday morning, I've been at my desk all of 30 minutes of the last 2.5 hours, but finally, here I am!'
I have new toys scheduled to arrive today if SGI and the shipping co. are to be believed. I won't have time to uncrate them and play with them till Monday unfortunately.
My car hit 114,000 on the ole odo-meter this morning. It gets dropped off at Saturn of Sterling tonight for its regular 3k mile servicing.
Evan doesn't know it yet, but he made Student of the Month for November. He'll find out in TKD clsss this evening. Go Evan!
My legs ache. Low stances. Low stances _SUCK_. It's all about forms this week, and the Red belt form Pyungwa is all low stances just like the Blue belt form Jungyee is. In fact, all forms from here on out are all at least 85% in low stances. Guess I should get used to it. I've pretty much got the 360 degree jump in the middle of Pyungwa down, and this is a good thing.
I had a pretty nasty cold over the Thanksgiving holiday that I'm still on the tail end of. Makes class interesting.

robeli and I get to go out tonight. Always fun.
A pox on both their houses, they who make spyware and viruses. We run a fairly tight network, but goddamnit if we still don't end up with machines that manage to get infected or have this crap insidiously installed on it. This stuff can't phone home, our outgoing firewall rules are as strict as our incoming; if your packet doesn't match the service on the port it's trying to use, or is headed for a known bad site: Fuck off; die. Thank you for stateful packet inspection. It's still annoying to clean up. I miss when I worked on networks that were hetergeneous only because they ran a couple different flavours of unix.
The floor below ours is being built out, and the construction is noisy and annoying. Fortunately, I can just turn the music up.
