I didn't take class last week, since it was all about the sparring, and I'm not doing that with a pair of fractured ribs. However, my weight didn't change. Not one pound. I'm still sitting at fifty six pounds below my starting weight. Knowing that I can take a week off and not start climbing is a good thing. It means I've finally killed a habit that I'd only picked up somewhere in my twenties, and I've stopped eating just to eat. Go me.
This cover of Sublime's Bad Fish by Jack Johnson is strangely calling out to me. I like his music in general, but it hasn't inspired me to go out and pick up any of his CDs so far. That may have changed. Or maybe I just need to load up on Jimmy Buffet and tequila this weekend. We'll see.
I took two classes last night, and after a week out I'm a little fatigued, but not really sore. This is kind of surprising. I expected to hurt just trying to stand. Especially since I did over a hundred squats to front kicks (start in low open (aka horse) stance, stand up and snap a front kick, go back to low open, and keep doing this alternating which leg kicks) last night over the course of both classes.
Evan and I are both still on track for testing for Black in February, which is ver' cool mon.
I really don't like Raytheon's logo. That red orange color (which they've actually trademarked as 'Raytheon Red') is horrible. I still give out old business cards with our pre Raytheon logo (on the rare occasion I actually give one out at all). I want the cards that have the Raytheon logo in grey. So much more aesthetic. I'm pretty sure that requires challenging a VP, or higher, management weenie to single combat and killing him and taking his position. I don't really want the job, but the whole combat thing could be fun, and at least then I'd have business cards that weren't an eyesore.
Work's been kind of quiet the last few weeks, which is normal this time of year, everyone is alternating between 60+ hour weeks (well, the people who work directly on contracts and thusly bill Unca Sam) and taking time off because it's that time of year. Either way, they're either too busy to bother me, or just plain not here. I'm in maintenance mode till the end of the year. I'm not screwing with a damn thing until after Jan. 1, 2006.
I think I might update the last of the SGIs, I already know they'll be fine, and at least I won't be bored...
