So, our district got Better Known by Colbert last night. I need a Google Earth plug in that will overlay Congressional districts. The shape of our district is distinctly fucked up. It manages to include a large swathe of Fairfax County, but leaves out some odd bits. It's totally gerrymandered. It's also, if Colbert can be believed, the wealthiest district in the country. I was surprised by that. I'd have expected one of CT's or MA's districts to own that title, being the two wealthiest states, or possibly one of the more expensive bits of the greater L.A. Metro area, seeing how it's filled with Hollywood types and all.
