Okay, so I'm new to this. I prefer actual means of communication that are fully threaded and encourage independent 'conversation' like usenet, but apparently the whole goddamned world seems to think blogs (and what a stupid fucking name) is the way of the future, so here I am, dinosaur that I may be.

This needn’t become a replacement for usenet. Most of these posts wouldn’t be appropriate there.

Welcome.

Your webpage makes me tingle.

(I'm from rasfwrj, but quasi-anonymous on public LJ comments. Welcome to the confusing, pseudonymous future.)

So call them weblogs, that's what I do.

As a fun bonus, now you get to have a game of "Let's guess who is who!"

All right, it's a very short game in most of our cases, at most necessitating a trip to the userinfo page, but still...

(grin) Welcome! :-)

(Name's Jeff. We've met at various DFS's. :-) )

You're not the only dinosaur around. You and [livejournal.com profile] kjn can go and grump together in a corner. I'm sure it'll be very bonding.

Welcome!

Ha! I can out-dinosaur you any day. Welcome to LJ.

Blog is a dumb-ass word. I don't have a blog, I have an elljay. I liked usenet. Usenet is dead. Usenet is only useful for downloading music and porn. It takes a little getting used to, but this can be a fine forum for whatever. Use it in whatever manner suits you.
