I did teh silly last night. I took three classes, all back to back. It was mostly just to see if I could. I made it through, but wow, I ache this morning. This tells me that I should have the endurance to get through my Black belt exam; this is what I wanted to know. Now I just have to not screw up the actual material.

I'm getting older; this sucks. Last week? It was relatively warm. We hit 60+ three times. This weekend it got all cold again, and all the sudden my joints and muscles have decided that this cold weather shit isn't for them and they're stiffening up in protest. I did a LOT of stretching exercises last night over the course of those three classes, and I still had problems doing things that last week were easy for me. This is new, and I don't like it.

Does this mean you're staying home tonight?

The alternative to your growing older is much worse.

Kids are so spoiled today...

On the other hand, I'm sure that you're able to do things today that you wouldn't have been fit enough to do five years ago, so stop your whining, boy!

Sure. I can get all the way down into a full split on the right or left (though I can't yet do it center), which is something I've never been able to do at all; in the cold it takes a while to get there and my hips and the attached muscles complain the whole time.
