I was watching Colbert earlier, and there was a commercial for Lunesta. Among the listed side effects: Drowsiness.

Um, I might be off here, but isn't that a primary effect? In fact, isn't it sort of the whole point?

Heh. It probably means next-day drowsiness. But yeah, people who don't suspect that a sleeping pill will make you drowsy need to be shot and put out of their misery.

That's always puzzled me about sleeping pill ads, although not as much as the "don't take if you have an enlarged prostate" warnings on painkillers specific for women in their period.
