I'd still like to plan a DFS in the VA suburbs of DC if folks are interested. From responses the last time I brought this up a couple weeks ago, it sounds like Spring is when most of you are interested and available.

Like, April...ish. Early April is probably bad, as most folks are doing family things for Easter and it's robeli's birthday right around then (either this year or last year, her birthday actually fell on Easter (yes, I know when her birthday is...I just don't know when it's Easter), it's that close, so you guys don't get to invade my house at that time...).

The weather in March tends to still be on the Suck side of things, and May gets close to Kenn's annual Memorial Day gathering...

Gah.

Per the official National Cherry Blossom Festival website, "The 2008 Festival will be March 29 - April 13, 2008; with the Parade on Saturday, April 12."

FYI - Easter 2008 is March 23, so it will probably not conflict with the birthday in question (how aries of you). OTOH, how'd robeli like a really big 2-3 day birthday party involving food, alcohol and people she may never have met before?

Except for the regrettable requirement to attend the Big Damn Meeting 4/26-5/1, right now the other 3 weekends in April are open for me. Because it's all about me. And my car. Which is at your service. And can provide extra bedding and suchlike.

Passover starts sundown, April 19. This has some interesting implications to consider (Darkfriend Seder?)...but really, it means I might be away that weekend proper, but that's still negotiable; in general, whenever's good.

I meant to reply earlier, but I just have been swamped.

I think Cherry Blossom time would be awesome! Does April 11th - 13th work? Or is that too early in April?

Also, my daughter's birthday is also in April (she'll be 5) and I would love to take her on a trip to the DC area as her birthday present. We might get a hotel room to extend our trip through mid week so that we can spend some extra time doing touristy stuff.
