It's Friday!

My wife's machine magically recovered from whatever problem was making it unhappy (and I hate that, problems shouldn't just disappear before I can diagnose them damnit, but at least now I can back up her stuff on a DVD-RW over the weekend and not care if the drive dies again for good).

The tape drive in the lib stopped trying to keep the cartridges despite the eject lever being operated after I turned the temp on the AC up a little in the datacenter (and really, 72F is a fine temp to maintain, I have no idea why it was set to 60F in the first place).

NetBackup is no longer refusing to use random tapes for no particular reason.

I'm at 175, so it's official, I've lost 40lbs. (another 20 to go) since last June.

All in all, it's been a decent week. The only bad bits are that it's going to rain all weekend, but that's okay too.
