Our roving reporter was unable to find anyone who cared; no Film at 11!
The most noted response among those polled was "Wait, you're trying to convince me the US has a world class soccer team? Where's the hidden camera?" We told them it was in the non-hidden one that they were currently speaking in to.
In other news, I'm really fucking tired. It's really impolite of my neighbors to set off all that lightning right outside like that. My whole house kept shaking almost simultaneously with it being suddenly brighter than daylight. And then the bastards went and turned on the rain. The dial was turned all the way to eleven.
At some point after I finally passed out due to shear exhaustion, the power must have gone for a bit, as I woke up after the sun was already up and the clock on my night stand was flashing. It couldn't have gone out long though, since the VCR clock wasn't, which means something on the order of 2 - 3 seconds tops. Long enough to fuck up my alarm clock and make my computers reboot, but not enough to do much else. Annoying.
The ride in involved lots of traffic lights either flashing yellow, or totally out. Traffic volume would indicate that I'm not the only one whose alarm clock got reset, as normally by that time it would have been a parking lot, and yet, the roads were only moderately populated and I was moving at normal highway speeds. I also didn't have to pay at least one toll, due to the booth in question being without power. Go me, I saved fifty cents!
