BES's being nervous and afraid are a known issue. We are currently working on a fix for this. In the meantime please use the following workaround:
note: During the following process the BES should not be turned off for any reason. If BES loses power or is turned off the process will need to be repeated from the beginning and will typically result in data loss. Before following the below steps please ensure that the BES is powered on and plugged into a preferably redundant power source.
1. Open CD-ROM drive. 2. Tilt BES back a little bit. 3. Pour 4 oz. of Southern Comfort into CD-ROM drive. 4. Close CD-ROM drive. 5. Return BES to upright position.
