Google have given me 30 more invites to Wave if anyone wants one.

Not until somebody can explain to me what it's useful for or why I would *want* what appears to just be a chat client that also does word processing.

Right then, one's on the way.

I'm not sure what it's useful for, yet. I think once it hits critical mass, people will start doing interesting things with it.

I asked Google for an invitation back when, and it still hasn't graced me with one *sob*. So, if you would be so kind...

I have you in my gmail contacts as first.last at gmail, and those seem to work better, so I sent it there.

If I ever got any invites to give away, I wasn't even going to ask you, I was just going to send one-- it seems like the thing you'd enjoy meddling with, even if it did not ultimately amount to anything.

Alas, unless they are hiding the invites, I have not received any to give away.

Ha ha!

Seriously though, there's no "Invite others to Google Wave" subject hiding in your Inbox on wave?

From: [identity profile] prince-corwin.livejournal.com

Not that I saw, this morning.
I'll check when I get home-- Wave is useless at work because we are shackled to IE, and no, cannot install the plug-in to make it work.

From: [identity profile] jsbowden.livejournal.com

For all that most of our internal crap only works with IE, and despite RTN's extremely inflexible policy on most things, FF and Chrome are both approved for installation and use. I'm kinda surprised NGC won't let y'all use an alternate browser.

From: [identity profile] prince-corwin.livejournal.com

I suspect it's a malign combination of laziness, justified by half-assed security-- no one wants to take the time to figure out which browsers are acceptable, so they just brand them all security risks, period.

And, no, no invites in waves for me.

It'll be there whenever Google get around to processing it.

Re: ook, ook

lundblad at gmail is what I sent it to. I still have a 301 number listed for you...I'm assuming I can delete that?

I've been wondering if it could be adapted for D&D. There are some online die rolling apps out there.

Hmmm....

Perhaps I'm too late, but a friend of mine would love one, lesklassen@gmail.com. Also, I suppose I should check it out, ken.gerrard@gmail.com.

uh, any left?

Hi there - I'm a bit of a lurker, wondering if you've still in possession of a wave invite looking for a home.
