It's the shortest day of the year. You don't have time to do all you want to do. If you put it off till tomorrow, you'll have more time.

Of course, it's also the longest night of the year, which explains all the partying by those wacky pagans out there. But when you think about it, partying on the longest night of the year makes sense, so who are the wacky ones after all?

So did I!

Although a fellow wacky Pagan apparently stayed up all night watching LotR EEs, then held vigil from the moment of the solstice (4:42 a.m., locally) until sunrise (7:55 a.m., again locally) to make sure the sun came up.
