So, the Catholic Church has decided to alienate a whole new generation. Good for them.
I don't collect Religion: The Delusion cards, so I'm not up on current Catholic acolytes and their color and attack/defense ratings, but Ratzinger looks like he requires black mana, spews hatred at +2, and gets a +2 vs. Jews of any type for attack and defense.
Electing a former Nazi AND Inquisitor? What the fuck were those Cardinals thinking? Oh wait, religion requires a deliberate act of not using your brain from the get go, so thinking obviously wasn't a part of this process.
I think he should have gone for the Total Irony Finishing Move and named himself Innocent (insert appropriate roman numeral here).
And people wonder why I gave up Cotholicism for Lent all those decades ago.

FWIW it was observed that the previous Benedict was a moderate Pope, so maybe he's trying to throw a bone to the moderates and progressives. The Catholics are so out of touch with reality, doctrine-wise, that the bone is going to have to be a big one to reduce the number of Catholics leaving the church.
Pat, who also gave the Church up for Lent many years ago...
