I was driving in on the GW Parkway, and the sunrise was absolutely beautiful.
There was maybe a 1o opening between the clouds and the horizon, and the sun was visible through that one horizontal sliver of sky...it was raining lightly, which muted it enough that it was this bright orange strip of fire softly glowing on the horizon.
With Georgetown and the Potomac being the foreground, this would have been an incredible shot. Too bad I had neither passenger nor camera to take it.
