As much as I hate the election cycle and all the bullshit surrounding it, there is an upside. Stewart and Colbert are totally in their element and are just killing me with the funneh. Wednesday's The Daily Show was one of the best ever, and the Gitmo line? For that one, John Stewart wins the whole universe.

I dig having Big Ass Screen at home. I've been working my way through our DVD collection, and it's awesome. Surround sound, big screen, cheap snacks...I may never go to a theater again.

Actually, I don't think it's bad for you, but generally, I'm watching The Daily Show and The Colbert Report during the week. I'll catch a movie on the weekends at some point usually, but otherwise, we don't watch that much TV.

A couple weeks back I picked up Serenity and the complete Firefly box set.

I never saw Firefly when it aired. I wasn't even aware of it until after it had already been canceled. It's a damn shame Fox killed it before it could find an audience, because it WOULD have found one. Over the course of last week I watched all of it and finished up with Serenity on Saturday night.

There's still a lot of this story left to explore. Too bad it won't happen.
